Well the time has come to think about retiring my poor 400 mghtz 6 year old computer. It needs to be soonish as I may have to go in for foot surgery and will need to work from home for a week or so.

I absolutely cannot afford one of the brand namers, and am considering building from a barebones.

The question I ask is this:
What site do you use? What BareBones Package would you reccomend and why.

This is what I would like to have:
At least a 1.9 (or comp) processor and a decent chipset. I don't need a fancy clear case with lots of flashing lights an all.

find a local store and have them make it., check them out first, but if they are smaller and build them, they can not afford for things to go wrong.

Now these guys dont back their computers up and their warranty is usually junk. But they have good prices on name brand pieces. They also let you make your own system with upgrades here and their. THis is perfect for the person who knows computers and isnt willing to build their own or the person who knows people who can fix their rig.

Their are a few others out their but my current rig is a modified cyberpower rig.

Forward away.. I am not too opposed to putting one together myself truly. I have done it before, I am just at a point of where my knowledge of what is current and what is not, is no longer reliable. It is true when they say if you don't use it.. you lose it.

Hopefuly my DSL will be back up tonight.. We think that the modem thing got fried in a storm yesterday as it is actig funny..

If not, give him my cel phone number.. or you could even give him my work email address as well. ;)
