    Default Faire at night

The Bristol board is a buzz with opening for one night from 8 til midnight. Does any other faires have a late night?

    Wow, that is pretty cool.

I've been to faires, like MDRF that b/c it goes into October, it gets dark before closing. Looks so cool with all the shops lit up and people walking around with lanterns.

PCRF ran nights this year, until 10:00, I think. It was magical! Faire takes on a whole new feel by lantern light.

Which Bristol board? I haven't seen any mention of that on the boards I check.

We've been drooling over the idea of a night faire for years!

EDIT: Never mind, I found it. It was the one board I hadn't checked this morning. But thanks for the tip to look :)

AHA! I are smart. This topic is being discussed on a board set up for performers and staff but is open to the public to read.
Bristol is running a concert series after the faire closes for the participants. Kind of like community theatre/diversion. The acts are people who work for or are visiting faire. (I work faire, I never get to see shows and this is my chance to catch the acts.) This weekend a group of people are getting together to do Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon a capella. It's going to be awesome, made up of many different people from lots of different troupes. Lots of people want to see this and it has leaked to patrons who are now asking permission to attend the site after faire hours.
So now everyone is talking about their ideas for a faire show after dark. It isn't schedule, just an idea that is being rolled around between participants.
It would be very interesting though. I remember how much I liked MDRF at the end of the evening when the court did their torch-lit fly-by. I could imagine a whole evening of that.

AH! MDRF Does (did?) a one-nighter of this. I have heard about it, but never been to it. Is is indeed a chance for the acts to get to see each other's stuff, and for faire workers to do the same. It tends to be off color. Back when I heard about it, Teatro was doing their two shows a day, and would do one that evening--no holds (or words) barred. I always hear that it was hilarious.

    just Lori
Yup, I\'m it. just Lori. But wait! There\'s more...coming on May 9!

Park City was open until 10 PM... it was odd staying that late, but the double tree stage was lovely adorned by lanterns after dusk. Could have done without the overdose of mosquitos!
