Ok, so it looks like I'll be coming to faire this weekend. Hopefully Saturday and Sunday. I can't wait to see all of the people I know and meet the ones I don't. Anything exciting happening this weekend? Anyone else going to be around? What weekend theme is it anyway?

That explains my feelings in two ways. First off, it is pirate weekend (to answer that question), and also because I won't be there
I'll be at Dragon*Con this weekend. But, you can keep an eye out for the rest of my crew... they'll treat you well (or else).

I'm the 2nd from the right. Look for any of the other 3 guys, they'll probably be there both days. If you're still there on Monday, I'm going to show (though I may be dead tired).

I can't be there on Monday. I am throwing a bbq for the incoming Medieval Institute students as I'm one of the officers. You and I shall never meet, my dear. It is fated LOL

So will anyone else be around? If I'm going to be there by myself I don't want to be alone, that would suck.

i don't care what kind of family trauma or ANYTHING else that may happen - i'll be there saturday and sunday!!!

i don't think there much planned for the wenches because it is pirate weekend and most of us are on ships (but don't quote me).

Yup, Molly, you are correct. This is the weekend we take time to celebrate all the piratey goodness that the world has to share, so any 'official' Wench stuff is put on hold. However, there will be a ton of Wenches around - me included (on Sat. at least)

Speaking of.... Molly, do you know if the Pirate Olympics are going on this year?

i believe they are, at least that's what we last heard (although possibly on a somewhat smaller scale due to unforseen circumstances)... however, we've not received anything official with info from the captain yet. if i hear anything, i'll let you know!

There will be several Wenches around but many will be doing 'double duty' on their ships too.

However, Kat did say that she will be available for a Walk on Sunday if anyone is interested. Just remember, we did not relax the dress code for Pirate Weekend, so it remains; bodice, skirts, covered head. If you wish to wear somthing 'piratey' and bring a skirt to toss on over your tights (or whatever you are wearing) that's cool too.

Well I don't necessarily want to walk as I dont' wear head gear nor do I wear 2 skirts. But I would like to have people to hang with, but I suppose it isn't necessary.

Just go to the Guniness Pub. That's where the Rouges and Wenches hang out. You should find someone there!

Well, I had a great time this weekend. I didn't see many wenches or rogues which was a bummer, and I never did find the hostel, so I eventually gave up looking. But I picked up a new man which is always a good time and I listened to the tomato guys for hours. Man they crack me up. I bought some amber and leather and soap. And saw friends I hadn't seen since Silverleaf. So all in all a very successful weekend.
