Yup WOW... being able to perform so well and with such surprise that the Queen had no Idea and on top of it all elicit tears from a performer "on stage" saying anything falls short of the greatness of this achievement, plus the pledge "that next year, we would work to get the guilds and the actors to interact more" all I can utter is a shocked WOW...

Every faire is different. NYRF has lots of NYC equity taught actors. Hence they get into their 'zone' and it pisses them off when yu pop them out in front of the crowd. They're AWESOME PEOPLE, but they are actors as well.
This was set up with Don Kilcoyne, Sir Francis Drake, prolly one of the most talented improv actors EVER to grace a renfair site. We wanted to do it in front of the crwod, DURING a show to catch Anne even MORE off guard. (we did) And with her hubby away for some time now, it meant alot to her...
I spoke with the Creative Director as well as Anne, Don and many other actors this weekend. Many were in agreement that MORE actor/vendor/guild member IN-CHARACTER interactment is a must for next year... We (actors, vendors, guildmembers) are supposed to be a 'community' we should know each others characters... And BE a real town...
That's the real fun of this Ren Faire thing... Being INVOLVED....

Congradulations for a job well done. Sounds like it was a good PR job for the Rogues as well as Jerimiah Weed. Maybe this will start the goodwill rolling thru all the faires.
