    Default Breast Cancer and Stamps

I wasn't sure where to post this really, it seems to cross into a lot of different topics. I just heard from one of my reader friends from TRF whose sister was just diagnosed with breast cancer. Any positive thoughts or prayers on thier behalf would be appreciated. Also, buy stamps!!! (I was just on usps.com so I know this is REAL.)

    Subject: Breast Cancer Stamp Booklet

    >> We need those of you who are great at forwarding on information
    >> with your e-mail network. Please read and pass this on. It would
    >> be wonderful if 2005 were the year a cure for breast cancer was
    >> found!!!!
    >>
    >>
    >> This is one email you should be glad to pass on. The notion that
    >> we could raise $35 million by buying a book of stamps is
    >>powerful!
    >> As you may be aware, the US Postal Service recently released
    >>its
    >> new "Fund the Cure" stamp to help fund breast cancer research.
    >> The stamp was designed by Ethel Kessler of Bethesda, Maryland.
    >> It
    >> is important that we take a stand against this disease that
    >> affects so many of our Mothers, Sisters and Friends.
    >>
    >> Instead of the normal 37 cents for a stamp, this one costs 40
    >> cents The additional 3 cents will go to breast cancer research.
    >> A
    >> "normal" book costs $7.40. This one is only $8.00. It takes a
    >> few minutes in line at the Post Office and means so much. If all
    >> stamps are sold, it will raise an additional $35,000,000 for
    >> this
    >> vital research. Just as important as the money is our support.
    >> What a statement it would make if the stamp outsold the lottery
    >> this week. What a statement it would make that we care.
    >>
    >>
    >> I urge you to do two things TODAY:
    >> 1. Go out and purchase some of these stamps.
    >> 2. E-mail your friends to do the same.
    >>
    >>

    >>
    >> We can all afford the $0.60. Please help & pass it on

There's nothing wrong with them a spoonful of peanut butter and a piece of duct tape wouldn't fix.

It's for real... it's a campaign they've been doing for a while and the stamps are normally very pretty. You can buy them all year long (supplies available of course) from either the website, vending machines or post offices.

    I use these exclusively!

Thanks for the "re-print" of the email.
My computer crashed and I lost the original.
It will be going out from me every month because I'm a daughter of a Breast Cancer survivor (my Mom) and also a Breast Cancer victim (my Dad).
This disease has no preference to gender, as I found out first hand.

Please do as much as possible for our sisters and brothers. If it hasn't touched you personally, why not do your utmost to ensure it stops touching us entirely.

I hadn't thought about using the stamps exclusively, I also get the Humane Society stamps, but now I can change them out.

    Default Breast Cancer Mammogram site

If you click on this site, it helps to get women FREE mammograms in the prevention of Breast Cancer.
There are also 5 other sites that you can "click on" to help their cause.

    http://www.thebreastcancersite.com/c...kyoupg_BCSlogo

Just think, one click is all it takes to help someone who might not otherwise be able to afford it.
