okay I know this was awhile ago and I'm hoping hoping hoping that someone will remember or maybe even the original wench will repost about it.

I'm a pretty fluffy wench who needs good strong boning. There was a lovely wenchy who bought stuff from lowe's to make her boning, and since I'm now about to start my very first bodice I'd like to have her "recipe" for good boning.

I used industrial strength plastic cable ties, the ones that are about 5/8th wide and 4 foot long. You can find them in the electrical departments. They work like a dream, need no tools other then a lighter (to melt the ends) and wire cutters to cut it.

I believe it was Jeannie who had the "recipie." She cut the metal strapping with snips, then Plasti-Coated it.

Honestly, though? For the amount of time you'll spend, it's easier and not much more expensive (unless you have the strapping, the Plasti-Kote, and the snips already) to just go to http://www.corsetmaking.com/ (Delicious Corsets, from whom I buy all my supplies) and get what you need there.
