    Default Bronze pins

I was perusing the Lundegaard site, and noticed that some wenches are given bronze IWG pins instead of pewter. I was just curious--who gets these pins, what's the qualification? (I'm perfectly happy with my pewter pin, I was just wondering....)

Also, when did the pin get corrected? (That is, when did the accidentally left-out "N" in Magnus get put back in?) Kind of cool mistake, actually--"magus" being magical (if I'm not mistaken.)

I think I might have been one of the first wenches to point out the mistake to Lars. He thought it was pretty funny too.

If memory serves, the first 200 or so wench pins, the first 40 or so rogue pins, and I'm not sure about the Merc and Himbo pins, were in bronze. Lars then switched over to the pewter pins after that. Some time after that, he fixed the mold to have the "n" put back in and also started marking the numbers on the back.

I was always so worried about losing my pin during the off season (it took me 6 months to find it once, and I found it where I swore I had checked numerous time!), so it's been a relief to know I can order a replacement bronze pin. Before, if you lost a bronze pin, it was likely to be gone forever.

It's been interesting to have a bronze pin out here in the midwest (there is another who's profile says she's in WI - but I haven't met her), but it doesn't seem to stand out on my outfits as much as a pewter pin might. But I wouldn't trade it for the world!

I noticed the number was marked on the back on mine...I was thinking about having the number engraved on the back. The number wears off fast (I keep it pinned to my clarinet case most of the time.)

Thanks for the explanation, KissMeKate. :D

I know for the Rogues, it's the first 30 pins.....kind of like a 'founder's' thing. They're referred to as 'The Dirty Thirty'. ;)

From what I heard, there was a time anyone could get the bronze ones if you wanted to pay extra. But I believe he just stop making them all together.
