Rules at Fairs

I've been reading several threads and noticed that there are so many dress codes if you attend a fair . Is this only for those that work there or also for visitors / Wench guild memebers ?
If you go to Fair here there are no dress codes at all , just having fun is more then enough ! And if you are in Garb , expect to be photgraphed a lot .

Dress codes, etc, are only for people who work at Faire, such as the performers or craftspeople. Attendees, including guild members, can wear whatever they please.

Personally, I feel naked when I go to Faire dressed Dane.

Having fun is what it should be about. I guess you need to go to the Oregon Country Faire to really enjoy yourself. I remember a thread not to long ago that focused on their dress code. That should be adopted for faires nationwide.

As said above, if you aren't working at the Faire you can wear whatever you want. However, some faires here seem to have restrictions on what a wench can be wearing if she wants to participate in a Walk. Presumably because you are technically "performing" and they want you to fit in costume-wise.

Also, some faires DO have restrictions on what regular patrons can wear, but that tends for the most part to fall under public decency laws. I know that may sound kind of stupidly obvious, but you haven't seen some of the stuff people try to get away with on some sites.

Some people really do wear some outfits/costumes that are outright pornographic. If you wouldn't want your family to see you in it, then you probably shouldn't be wearing it at faire. (Of course, some people wouldn't care if their families saw them in that...)

Glad someone got to that point already. The Bristol Local has to follow the participant rules (as best possible) for formal/sanctioned activities. Outside of that, the playtron members can wear what they like (as long as its decent).
