I have changed my plans to attend Aug 1-2 unless I have surgery but I'll probably work around that anyway. I'm waiting to have my lap band bariatric surgery. The insurance company is being difficult.

I was able to change my Ramada Ltd room from Aug 8-9 to 1-2. I may or may not have my nephew with me that weekend but I will keep in mind any possible room shares or couches available if I don't bring him. He loves faire soooo much and at my faire, he only has me for a half day due to working. He is five and a half and very into faire now.

The Value Inn place says that all the rooms are filled for every weekend and everyday in between. It's got to be a glitch so I have to call personally. Unless because of the location????

I don't mind chains, I'm just trying to find cheap but safe. The Holiday Inns are the first to go, probably cause of the beds and breakfast. I'm going to play around and check the listed ones. Keep you all informed.

Kenosha has sushi? Where? What exit?

I read poor things about the Econo Lodge when it was still the Adventure Hotel and still this year as Econo. Any thoughts? The rates are great though. How is the area? There are normal rooms at the Econo right, not just the crazy theme ones right?

As I mentioned in an earlier post, we stayed at that hotel last year over Labor Day. It is in Gurnee, about 10 minutes from Bristol. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, the front desk was nice, and we paid $55. We didn't use the pool or other amenities, don't even know if they had anything else, we just wanted a clean place to sleep for 1 night. The guy at the front desk recommended a good restaurant about 10 minutes away that was reasonable, so our stay there was positive.

Thanks for the update on Econo. I booked a room for Aug 1 at the Oasis, the one off the highway. For $45 a night it's in the budget plus it's close to faire and one of those small indie places.

    thanks everyone.
