I do my little turn on the catwalk....

Well, Saturday night, I did my first-ever fashion show. It was right here in Philly, at the inaugural evening of Dorian's Parlor, the new monthly Steampunk night. I had six models on the catwalk, and even took a turn myself when the emcee introduced the designers. It was exhilarating, and exciting, and completely weird. And oh, my G-d, fun!

So right on the heels of that, I've been asked to participate in another show, this time in Manhattan. And this time, I'm giving out plenty of warning, in case anyone wants to come out. It's July 11th at Webster Hall, 4.30pm to 6.30pm. I'll be one of several designers, and I'll have probably eight pieces on the runway. It's also a bigger-profile show, so I'll also have hamsters in my tummy.

I'm completely stunned, cos I didn't really see this coming until about three weeks ago. The second show came up just a few hours ago. I'm actually arranging models as we speak. I think I have everything nailed down, and I'm so excited! If you'd told me two months ago I'd be setting up stylists and models for a New York runway show, I'd have laughed, and punched you in the nose.

Okay, maybe just laughed.
